Transition Year Retreat

On Thursday 6th October the Transition Years went to Scala on a religious retreat. We started off by playing games that acted as icebreakers such as fruit salad. Then some of the Scala team told us stories from their past before we said a prayer. After this we were divided into groups and discussed stereotypes and peer pressure. We learned about positive and negative peer pressure. We also had a short meditation. After lunch we watched a short clip from the movie Evan Almighty which taught us that God does not give us virtues, such as patience, but oppurtunities to be patient. We then said a short prayer before returning to the school.
