Coláiste Muire Open night – Wednesday 24th October

Coláiste Muire Open night will take place on Wednesday 24th October 2012.

We are aware that incorrect information was included in the recent issue of the Carrigdhoun newspaper. Please be assured that this date is correct

We welcome parents and pupils of 5th class students from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

Bag pack in Carrigaline

Transition Year students from Coláiste Muire took part in the St. Vincent de Paul bag packing day in Dunne’s Store’s. Monies collected from the day will go the local St Vincent de Paul group.

A number of students  volunteered to help out with this. Students were divided into groups of six and did two-hour shifts from 11.00 a.m until 7.00 p.m.

Soccer – Coláiste Muire Boys take on Mayfield


The U15 school soccer team took on Mayfield in there first competetive match this year. They started off well with a lot of possesion and shots from Jack Kent and Tim Marron narrowly missed. The sides went in at half time at 3-0 to Mayfield but Crosshaven lads had played well. They started well but Mayfield quickly struck with a goal. The Crosshaven team were very solid after this goal went in and had many chances to reply but could not apply the finish. Josh Hogan came closest to score with a well timed half-volley just over the half way line which skimmed the post. The final score was 4-0 to Mayfield but Crosshaven went away on a positive note. There were man of the match performances from Bryan O’Connor Killian Murphy on his goalkeeping debut and Tim Marron who was the heart of the team.
