Every day, there was morning announcement on intercom  which outlined the positive quote for the day. Junior students participated in a poster competition which was won by Anna Bolster. Her positive quote was “A flower does not think of competing with the flowers next to it…. It just blooms.

Cian Power, the Welfare Officer in UCC and a past pupil gave a presentation to senior classes and worked with the student council with the presentation of an Information Stand.

Liam Dooley, Youth Development Officer with Youth Health Services gave a Presentation to 5th & 6th year students.

Leaving Cert students had a Yoga workshop on Tuesday.

Martina Ryan, Development Officer Cork Mental Health gave a presentation to T.Y students

Junior students took part in a two-hour Minding Me’ Workshop which was coordinated by SPHE teachers with the assistance of TY students. They listened to speeches from the winners of last year’s Cork Mental Health Public Speaking competition, Luke Fehily, David Wilson and Caolán McCarthy.

A “No uniform” Day was held on Friday in aid of Cork Mental Health. Over 900 euro was raised for a very good cause.

Thanks to all who contributed to the week.
