Afternoon Tea with Crosshaven Active Retired Group
A number of Transition Year students from 4D are involved in the ‘Youth For Justice’ programme, which is organised by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. During the year we have visited the Active Retired centre on Tuesday afternoons. On Tuesday, 8 March, we invited the Active Retired Group to our school.
Our visitors were greeted by the enthusiastic welcoming Committee at the school entrance and then accompanied to the Library, where fellow T.Y. students gave a tour of our current 1916 Commemorative Exhibition, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The group then made their way to the Religion Room, where all relished afternoon tea, and relaxed with music and good conversation.
This was a really enjoyable afternoon for everybody involved, having been described by one visitor as ‘the best fun I’ve had in years’
