Scone Demonstration with Trisha O’Flaherty

Twenty Transition Year students took part in a food programme, sponsored by Bord Bia. The Future is Food’ helps students to gain a better understanding of the Irish artisan food sector, as well as the wider food industry.

Groups of students will be developing their own food product which they will market and sell. In this initial session, Brendan Russel of Luben Consultancy and Trisha Flaherty of A Touch of magic gave a cookery master class.  Students participated in the making and tasting of breads, scones, cup cakes and chutney. We look forward to their products.
