The first year girls, coached by Ms. O’Driscoll and her fourth year team, played against Bantry on Thursday the 2nd of February 2017.

From the very beginning of the match Crosshaven dominated the game. They started off strongly with 21 points in the first quarter with no reply from Bantry. The second quarter was equally as impressive and the scoring continued bringing Crosshaven to a lead of 31-0. Bantry put themselves on the scoreboard in the closing few minutes of the second quarter. The second quarter ended with a “Buzzer beater at the end of the second quarter by Emily Russell from downtown”- Pat O’Flynn. The heavy scoring continued for the final two quarters with Crosshaven racking up an impressive score of 47-06. It was an excellent display from everybody involved and we are all really proud of our first year girls. This was two wins in a row as the girls started their campaign with a win against Scoil Mhuire.

The first year boys put in an excellent performance on Wednesday, beating Glanmire Community school. Great performances by Zack Murphy and Josh McCarthy.
