Coláiste Muire local history exhibition and Food Fair – Friday, May 19th 2017
The Transition Year students of Coláiste Muire invited the wider community to a local history exhibition in the school library on Friday 19th May between 1.40 p.m and 3.00 p.m.
Visitors viewed images and other sources which outline Crosshaven’s rich heritage. Exhibits include the Cork-Passage railway, maritime history, local churches and much more.
Visitors got the opportunity to purchase home-made lemonade, summer relishes and marinades in food stalls. These products were produced in conjunction with the “Future is food” programme.
The students raised 350 euro which will go to the “Save our Steeple” campaign. This campaign aims to renovate the old Templebreedy Church.
