Gaelic Football Under 16s: Coláiste Muire progress to second round

Crosshaven eased their way through tto the next round of the Cork under 16 football championships with a comfortable victory over Mayfield. The team played some great football. Best players were Anthony Wrenne, Jordan Fahy, Sam Murphy and Kieran lyons.

Transition Year students grapple with Chinese

Transition Year students have been taking a beginner’s course in Chinese Language and culture since September.
The programme, sponsored by the Confucius institute based in UCC. The teacher, Chinese native Guan Zhixun has been very impressed by the progress of the students.

Munster Programming Course in UCC

Transition Year students are taking part in the Munster Programming Course in UCC every Saturday.
There are in total, 24 weeks of the course, spanning across the entire school year. This year, our school was fortunate to be invited to send some of our students to it.
These students include Kieran Sheehan, Diarmaid O’Brien, Michael O’Donavan and Seamus Allen.
The course is being held in UCC’s Western Gateway Building. A brand new, state of the art building. The course is being thought by Dr Sabin Tabirca.
The students in the course are being thought numerous things, including C programming as the main one.Students will also learn how to set up a webpage, and how to edit it and add content.
